Governance

The organisation measures its impact.
The organisation has said, “Project Managers have been working ad hoc on impact measurements and reporting over the last couple of years, with strong and meaningful reports created. Over the next year, the organisation will create a whole-of-organisation theory of change and from there start to look at larger program measuring and reporting, with a long-term goal of reflecting and reporting on the organisation's impact. As Renew has a wide variety of activities, this will be a challenge but every step is an opportunity for learning. We are also looking to partner with leaders in this new area for support and guidance."

Government Funding Use

Renew relies on private donations and is happy to align gifts with the interests of our donors. A $10,000 gift would enable us, for example, to focus on an underrepresented area on Sustainable House Day, drawing more homes in and showcasing sustainability to a community that may not be aware of local solutions. A gift of this size could be used to support our campaign for Climate Resilient Homes, which focuses on changing the national standards for home construction, leading to many positive benefits for households and communities. Donations to this campaign could support advocacy, communications and education. Renew also has been working to provide solar lighting and power systems to remote villages in Timor-Leste for 15 years. Donations to this program provide renewable lighting for villagers, benefiting children and families in their homes and in medical clinics, schools and orphanages.
