The Local Schools Community Fund will provide funding for schools for small scale projects and their associated costs. Schools can identify proposed projects in consultation with their local school community and can apply for project funding of between $1,000 and $20,000.

This funding will benefit students through the completion of additions such as:

  • small scale refurbishments;
  • new computer facilities;
  • playground and sporting equipment;
  • shade structures;
  • landscaping;
  • library resources;
  • air-conditioning; and
  • counselling of youth mental support.

If you think your school has a suitable project, guidelines, frequently asked questions and other key information about the Fund are available at www.education.gov.au/local-schools-community-fund.   Applications close 5pm AEST on 30 September 2019.
